On Thursday, Pakistan and Japan discussed ways and means of boosting bilateral trade between the two nations.
Kuninori Matsuda—the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan placed a call to Nadeem Babar—the Special Assistant to PM on Petroleum and the two parties discussed bilateral relations and stressed on the need of further increasing the economic and trade ties between the two countries, as per a press release of the Petroleum Division.
Nadeem Babar said that Pakistan greatly values Japan, as the nation has always given out support to Pakistan.

He emphasized on the need to boost the private sector for making investments in the different fields of Pakistan, as the government has also introduced investor-friendly policies.
The ambassador said that Japan would continue to expand and strengthen its ties with Pakistan in future.
Previously, the Japanese Embassy informed that they are looking for means of importing the skilled workforce from Pakistan.
As per the head of the Economic and Development Section at the Japanese Embassy, Japan wants to import three lac forty thousand foreign skilled workers in the span of 5 years.
