A travel advisory has been issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan for Pakistani nationals who are planning to visit Iraq.
As per the details, the travel advisory was issued after the prevailing security situation after the recent conflicts going on between the United States and Iraq.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office advised the Pakistani nationals to exercise the maximum causing while planning to visit Iraq in view of recent developments and the prevailing security situation in the region, a press release issued by FO said.
The press release further said that the Pakistani nationals who already in Iraq are advised to remain in close contact with the Embassy of Pakistan in Baghdad.
According to a press release issued by the FO earlier on January 3, Pakistan has viewed with the deep concerns the recent developments in the Middle East, which seriously threaten the peace and stability in the region.
It is worth mention here that both countries Iran and the United States have been in war of the words since Friday when a drone attack which was ordered by the President of the United States Donald Trump killed the military commander of Iran Qassem Soleimani. It is worth mentioning here that Soleimani widely seen as the second powerful figure of Iran behind the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
