Many cricketing legends believe that Pakistan is the favourite to win the World Cup 2019.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly thinks that Pakistan will enter World Cup 2019 as one of the favourites as they have remarkable record playing in England. He said, “Pakistan’s record in world tournaments in England is remarkable. They won the Champions Trophy two years ago, they won the 2009 World T20 in England.”
Also, Pakistan’s chief selector and ex-Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq says that Pakistan, the No. 6-ranked ODI side will be among the favourites to win the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Similarly England captain Eoin Morgan feels Pakistan is one of the strongest contenders for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 that starts on 30 May.
Morgan said, “[The Pakistan series] is a nice way to ease into the summer and get some really good, competitive cricket going. Pakistan is probably second or third favourites for the tournament.
“They hold the Champions Trophy – playing extremely well to win that, in England – so it’s a series we’re all looking forward to.”
