Pakistan will be receiving 8 military submarines from China. In order to strengthen Pakistan’s marine warfare ability.
Chinese shipbuilders are building the submarines under the Project Hangor. As per sources, the military assets will be given to Pakistan.
Presently, Pakistan’s navy forces have 10 submarines. China and Pakistan have a close strategic relationship as both countries have helped each other financially, strategically and militarily.
China Pakistan Economic Corridor is the biggest indicator of both countries relations. Recently China launched two sensing satellites for Pakistan to monitor CPEC. The satellites were launched on a Long March-2C rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
PRSS-1 is the first optical remote sensing satellite of China that is sold to Pakistan and overall the 17th satellite developed by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) for a foreign buyer.
Furthermore, the optic fiber cable that will connect Pakistan, Middle East, and East Asia has been inaugurated. The fiber optic cable will connect Rawalpindi with Khunjerab on the Pakistan-China border. It is the highest fiber cable project connecting the two countries with an altitude of 4,700 meters. Later on, the cable will be extended to Gwadar, fully connecting Pakistan and China.
Also, Chinese automakers are entering the Pakistani market with the likes of JAC Motor. David Zhang, the Deputy Chief Economic Manager of JAC Motor said that the company is planning to launch electric vehicles in Pakistani Market.
So all in all the relation between Pakistan and China is mutually beneficial for both the countries.
