Asad Umar—the Finance Minister on Friday said that Pakistan is working on improving its trade and economic ties with the various countries of the world for strengthening the economy of Pakistan.
At the Graduation ceremony of the 27th Advanced Diplomatic Course arranged by the Foreign Service Academy for the foreign diplomats in the federal capital, he said that Pakistan is opening up to the world with the better security situation.
Mentioning the geostrategic location of Pakistan, Asad Umar said that Pakistan is the foundation of the Silk Route.
The finance minister also said that they are in the process of implementing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project which has strengthened Pakistan’s economic ties with the time-proven friend China and relations are also on the development side with Iran.

While referring to the recent tensions with India, Asad Umar said that Pulwama attack was a result of inner politics of India as the elections are to schedule over there.
He further added that efforts are under process for isolating Pakistan at the international level by India from the last 2 decades.
Asad Umar on Afghanistan said that the efforts of Pakistan for the Afghan peace process are now extensively being lauded.
He also said that Pakistan would keep on playing its role in making the dialogue process successful and beneficial.
