The Foreign Minister—Shah Mehmood Qureshi has paid a visit to Iran on Monday in the second leg of his tour to four countries.
He held talk sessions with the Iranian counterpart—Mohammad Javed Zarif in the capital city of Iran—Tehran. They exchanged views on the bilateral ties and the regional situation.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan wills to further boost its economic and political relations with Iran. He mentioned that improving the ties with all the neighbouring nations of Pakistan is the basis of the country’s foreign policy.
On the other hand, Iran is also firm in its commitment of improving its ties and bilateral relations with Pakistan, as mentioned by the foreign minister of Iran.
He said that Iran wants to deepen its ties with Pakistan in the border management, investment, trade and connectivity.
Tehmina Janjua—the foreign secretary and other members of the delegation were also the attendees of the meeting.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has already visited Afghanistan and China. His next trip would be to Russia.
Recently, 84 illegal immigrants were apprehended in Iran and were handed over to the administration in Taftan.
As per the details, a group of eighty-four Pakistanis were unlawful immigrants in Iran without any travel and ID documents. The group entered Iran by unlawful means and had the plans of entering Europe through Iran and Greece for the employment purposes.
