It has been revealed by the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood that Pakistan has improved by 11 points on its ease of doing business.
In a joint media briefing with Chairman Board of Investment Haroon Sharif he revealed that, “Pakistan has improved its ranking by 11 points in doing business report 2019 for the first time in one year.”
Furthermore, Dawood revealed that Pakistan is striving to improve the ease of doing business. An integrated web portal has been set up the government to register new businesses and save time.

In just a day’s time a company can get registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The media was told by the dignitaries that there is a full automation of the property registration in place in Punjab online. This will reduce the time and improve the quality and transparency of the land administration.
He said, “The salient features of reforms also include online payment of federal and provincial taxes and now the number of these payments has been reduced from forty-seven to ten. Online payments will help Pakistan improve its ranking in paying taxes indicator.”
According to the PM Advisor and Chairman BOI, K-Electric has made the process of acquiring electricity connection easier by doing it online. Now customers can track their applications as well.
