Pakistan Extends Partial Airspace Ban

Pakistan has extended the partial airspace ban for the flights to India until the 28th of June.

The Civil Aviation Authority—CAA had previously restricted the transit and overflying to the Pakistani airspace until the 15th of June.

After the suspension on overflying operations, flights from Lahore to Sri Lanka, Delhi, Urumqi, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok were annulled.

Pakistan shut down its eastern airspace after a new wave of tensions with India began in the month of February.

As per the spokesperson of CAA, the transit and overflying within the Pakistani airspace would remain suspended until further directions are given.

But there are no bars on the operations on the western airspace of the country.
