In a recent press meeting, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar said that Pakistan is expected to get its name off the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). According to the minister, the country had made significant progress in the recent past.
The country has already addressed 27 points of the FATF Action Plan. 6 more to go which are expected to be completed by February 2021.
The publication stated – “the PTI-led government got 14 FATF-related bills approved from the parliament, he said, adding that Pakistan’s legal effort hailed as a role model for other countries to follow during the plenary meeting of the FATF.”
