In the year 2016-2017 Pakistan earned $307.943 million by the export of sports items. Compared to the fiscal year 2015-2016 the earning went down by 5.17%. In last fiscal year earning made through exports of sports goods, were $324.738 million.
Specifically, in sports products, the export of football dropped in this fiscal year by 11.7% compared to last year. In 2015-16 the money earned due to the export of football was $172.901 million while in this fiscal year 2016-17, the money earned was $152.549 million as per data revealed by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

This fiscal year export of gloves went up by 16.02%. Earnings made on the export of gloves were $107.608 million compared to $92.750 million last year.
Other sports items export decreased by 19.13%. The earnings in 2015-16 were $59.087 million while this fiscal year they were $47.786 million. Looking at it from year to year basis, sports products export went down by 1.19% in June 2017 in comparison to June 2016.
In June 2017 sports goods export was recorded as $27.176 million compared to $28.515 million in June 2016. In the month the export of gloves increased and football decreased by 4.8% and 2.78% respectively. Of other sports gears, export decreased in the month by 6.81%.
Looking at it from month to month scenario in June 2017 export of sports goods rose by 21.69% in comparison to $23.153 million export in May 2017. As for football export on the month to month basis, it rose by 19.31%, gloves export increased by 14.54% and other sports items export went up by 47.93%.
