The statement says that the newly-added option of ‘FBR’ will be available to all taxpayers and citizens with the complaints or grievances against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

It works for the benefit of both, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the citizens. By adding this option, people will avail a remote access facility and get seamless connectivity to the office of the chairperson of the tax department to lodge the complaints. On the other hand, it will also help the tax department in handling complaints in a better and faster way.

The press statement issued by the PM office further said that the option will not only help in identification of the grey area in the service delivery process but also provide useful information for long term reforms and policy formulation.

On September 30, the Federal Board of Revenue extended the deadline to file the tax returns by the one month. People are now able to file their tax returns till 31st of October.
