Pakistan and China media leaders have decided to jointly create a common platform for the promotion of the friendship between the two nations. Along with the platform will promote the mega China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
China Economic Daily and Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) members said, “There is a need to highlight all-weather friendship and strategic partnership as well as the ongoing cooperation for construction of CPEC for benefit of people of two countries.”
The CPNE delegation is on a five-day visit to China. The delegation included Tahir Farooq, Anwar Sajidi, Arif Baloch, along with Hamid Hussain Abidi, Bashir Memon, Tanveer Shaukat, Yahya Khan Sadozai, Yousaf Nizami, Ayaz Ahmed Khan, Aamer Mahmood, and Zubair Qureshi.
The delegation was welcomed by the President of China Economic Daily Mr Wang. He said that it is important to establish a platform highlighting the cooperation between both the countries and promoting the development projects falling under the multi-billion CPEC project.
He said that an essential role is played by the CPEC Media Forum to bring the Chinese and Pakistani media closer. He invited the delegation members to become part of the forum and suggest different ways to promote further cooperation.
Chief Editor of China Economic Net Cui Jun said that his organization has worked to promote good relations between China and Pakistan.
He said, “We arrange special talk shows, interviews, news reports, and documentaries to highlight the true and positive image of Pakistan, its people among the Chinese audience.”
The Pakistani delegation will visit the port city Shenzhen and different power and high-tech companies.
