Pakistan-China Agree to Speed up the Work on ML-1 Project

Pakistan and China have taken the decision of speeding up the efforts for the early completion of the Karachi-Peshawar Main Line-1 (ML-1) project.

As per the shared details, on Monday the agreement was reached between the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan-Nong Rong and the Minister for Railways-Sheikh Rasheed in the federal capital.

The meeting discussed comprehensively the matters of mutual interests, rail projects, and Pak-China relations.

The minister said that the ML-1 project would bring out a revolution in the railway department, other than creating new business and employment opportunities in the nation.

He thanked the Chinese ambassador for their continuous support for the ML-1 project, saying that the big project would further be boosting Pak-China relations.

Previously, the railway minister welcomed the new Chinese ambassador to the Railways Ministry by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers.

While speaking on the occasion, the envoy said that he wished to further boost the Pak-China ties, adding that the CPEC project was a manifestation of the long-standing ties between the two nations.
