Pak Suzuki Motor Company has yet again increased the prices of Cultus and two Swift variants by Rs30,000. Due to the rupee depreciation, the prices have been increased.
The notification by the company sent to the dealers said that Cultus AGS has been increased to Rs1.668 million from Rs1.638 million. The price of Swift DLX NV has been increased to Rs1.585 million from Rs1.555 million. The price of Swift AT BV variant is hiked to Rs1.721 million from Rs1.691 million.
The notification said, “The price hold will not be considered for the old pending orders (from customers) who have failed to deposit their balance payment within the due date.”
Adding, “Retail prices are inclusive of ex-factory prices and freight charges incurred on vehicles reaching your dealership premises. The prices are subject to change without notice and prices prevailing at the time of delivery shall apply. Any government tax applicable will be charged from the customers.”
Even though Pak Suzuki did not reveal the reason for raising the price, people said that it is due to rupee depreciation against the dollar. Also recently Pak Suzuki Motor Company reported a loss of Rs980 million for quarter that ended on 31st March, 2019.
JS Research analyst Ahmed Lakhani said, “I don’t remember such a big quarterly loss for the company since 2010.”
