According to reports, Pak Suzuki has stopped accepting orders for many vehicles. One of the leading automaker in Pakistan, Pak Suzuki has halted booking for several vehicles, temporarily.
The bookings of the cars that have been stopped for time being are Swift DLX, WagonR VXR, Alto VX, Cultus VXR, and Vitara.
Mega Carry has been permanently discontinued while the others are temporarily discontinued, as per the official notice by the company.
In the case of WagonR VXR and Cultus VXR, the cars have not been completely suspended, only a few colors have been removed i.e. red, blue and black. These cars will be available in other colors.
A Pak Suzuki official has confirmed the news but there is no reason given for taking this step. Though the rumor is that the fall in car sales can be a major reason for.
Recently Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) published data as per which the car sales overall have dropped by 41% in August 2019. The sales of Suzuki have dropped by 56.15% for August 2019 in comparison to the same period in 2018.
The current economic condition in Pakistan is one of the reasons that has contributed to the decrease in sales of cars.
However, Pak Suzuki is soon launching Wagon R (AGS) variant and 4th Gen Suzuki Jimny in Pakistan.
