The pavilion match date between Pakistan and India of the World Cup 2019 has been confirmed. As per the sources the match would be taking place in Manchester on the 16th of June.
The most thrilling match between the knowing rivals is considered the best during any tournament or series and the International Cricket Council (ICC) usually pits them together in any match series or tournament.
In 2017 during the Champions Trophy, where both the teams took part and played against each other in opposite groups, in the very first match of the tournament Pakistan lost to India. However, Pakistan rose back and that too strong for avenging their opening defeat at the final match—the grandest stage of all, where Pakistan came out as victorious owing to the century made by Fakhar Zaman and the extraordinary bowling done by the Pakistani bowlers.
The match holds significance for many more reasons as the two countries are not playing any bilateral cricket match series other than the ICC tournaments owing to the political tensions between the two neighbouring states.
The 2019 fifty-over World Cup is scheduled to take place in England and Wales, as per reports ten teams are said to be taking part in it.
Recently a Pakistan Cricket Board delegation visited India for attending the International Cricket Council meeting that was held in Kolkata on April 21. The meeting agenda included discussions relating the discipline of players, international cricket structure and the forming of the ICC cricket committee. ICC has played an important role in making sure that the PCB delegation may not face any problems regarding getting visas and all amid the tensions between the two states.
