An Indian quadcopter violated the airspace of Pakistan in Sankh Sector along the Line of Control as revealed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)
The media wing of military in a statement said, “In this provocative act, Indian quadcopter intruded 600 meters inside Pakistan’s territory for conducting surveillance.”
Adding, “This blatant act was aggressively responded to by Pakistan Army troops shooting down Indian quadcopter. Such unwarranted acts by Indian Army are clear violation of established norms, existing Air Agreement between two countries and reflect Indian Army’s consistent disregard to Ceasefire Understanding of 2003.”
Back in March, the army shot down a quadcopter in Rakhchikri Sector along the LoC when it came 150 meters inside Pakistan. This is as per the ISPR.
This intrusion of airspace is the recent development between the two countries, however the tension is going on for some time now since the New Delhi’s aggression in Balakot following the Pulwama Attack. The government of Narendra Modi blamed Pakistani for the Pulwama Attack with any substantial evidence.
The lockdown of IoK since August 2019 by India has worsened Pak-India relations. It is pertinent to mention here that in January 2019, the troops shot down another spy quadcopter in the Bagh sector along the LoC.
