It has been reported that the overseas Pakistanis have been scammed, robbed of their money, and personal data for as many as two years.
As to the details, the overseas Pakistanis have been scammed by a website www.nadraoline.com, which claimed to process and deliver citizens documents such as CNIC, Modification of CNIC, and Family Registration Certificate.
According to the notification issued by the National Telecom and Information Technology Security Board, the fake portal lured the overseas Pakistanis to fill the user-friendly National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) forms in order to get the required documents.
It has also been learned that the fake portal also charges a fee of $65 to apparently deliver the citizens documents at the doorstep.
The website was not available in Pakistan therefore National Telecom and Information Technology Security Board (NTISB) believes that the criminals behind this portal were running the website to target overseas Pakistanis only.
The NADRA officials have received complaints from several overseas Pakistan that they haven’t received their documents despite filing the forms and submitting the required fee.
The website has a valid digital certificate and its fake forms are very similar to original forms of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
