Over 7000 dollars were stolen from an overseas Pakistani’s bag at the Karachi Airport. The Pakistani was traveling to the United States from the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and he claims that at the Airport Security Force’s (ASF) counter the money was stolen from his bag.

Usman Siddiqui, the passenger said that in three different envelopes he had secured the money but the culprit skillfully stole from his bag.

The passenger said, “They took just my bag from me after I cleared immigration and reached the ASF counter.”

Adding, “Hundred dollar notes were replaced by paper and one dollar notes.”

The traveler has asked the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan to take immediate notice of the incident and initiate an inquiry. Furthermore he requested the relevant authorities to inspect the footage of the closed-circuit television (CCTV)

He said, “Overseas Pakistanis do not feel safe at airports.”

An investigation has started in to the matter as a complaint was registered at the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP). The director general of ASF is looking into the matter.

ASF spokesperson said, “The matter will be thoroughly investigated and if the passenger’s claims are correct, everyone involved in the incident will be punished.”
