On Wednesday, the Academy announced that the next year’s Oscar ceremony will be held in-person and not virtually in spite of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, most of the big award nights of the year have been moved to a virtual platform due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, the biggest night in Hollywood will still be in-person as the Academy confirmed itself.
According to the reports, a reporter of ABC and the Academy declared that the Oscars in-person telecast will happen next year.
This comes after the ceremony was previously pushed back by 2 months in the hopes of the Academy being able to see more films that would qualify for the deadline during the extended period.
As per the sources, the event will not be postponed further and would still be held at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre.
Recently, the academy has done a walkthrough of the Dolby theatre to see all the multiple options.
