Orange Line Metro Ready for its Test Run

Orange line Metro Train-OLMT is ready for its first test run from the 28th of October. The first train under the mass transit project has made 13 stations for the train.

This train would operate from Dera Gujran to Anarkali, and to those places where the concerned authority has already decided to conduct its test run. The test running would be done through electricity after the completion of thirteen high-voltage substations.

Also, 11 more stations would be completed by November which would give a signal that the first-ever mass-transit project has become operational as soon as it came out after taking a trial to run through electricity.

Usman Buzdar Chief Minister Punjab would be attending this test phase as a chief guest of the event.

He also had a high-level session in order to take an overview of the Orange line Metro Project and also regarding the testing stage of the Metro trains with the officials.

He said that the train would be ready to operate for the citizens from January having very economical fare prices. The CM also made an order to the particular authorities to speed up the work and make it operational for the citizens as soon as possible.

The track would be 27.1 km with a 25.4 km elevation 1.72 km underground.

This line is going to handle 250,000 passengers daily and would be serving 26 stations. The project so far has been financed by the government of Punjab.
