The opposition political parties of Pakistan have announced to submit a no-confidence motion against the chairman of the upper house of the parliament Sadiq Sanjrani on Tuesday (today).
As per the details, the 11 members of the Rahbar Committee—an anti-government body formed by the opposition had announced a consensus to remove the chairman of the Senate.
Before the submission of the no-confidence motion, a meeting of senators belonging to the opposition is scheduled to thrash out a strategy to remove the chairman.
According to the details, the meeting will be chaired by the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Raja Zafarul Haq, who had lost to Sadiq Sanjrani in the polls for the chairmanship of the Senate last year.
It is pertinent to mention here that the opposition’s Rahbar committee will hold a second session on July 11, where it will likely announce the name of a joint candidate for the Chairman of the upper house of the Parliament.
