OPPO R-series Flagship phones Discontinued

Oppo revealed Reno, its latest premium smartphone lineup just a few days ago. It launched two models and it is expected that it will launch 5 more models in 2019.

Earlier it was not clear as to what would happen to other flagship series of OPPO that is R-series and Find-series. But now the company has answered all the questions as the Shen Yiren, Senior Vice President of Oppo in an interview said that Oppo R-series will be discontinued. The company will not launch any other models as now it wants to focus on Oppo Reno and Oppo Find.

This means that Oppo R-17 would be the last phone in the R-series. The R-series will be replaced with Reno and Find lineup.

Recently Oppo launched Reno and Reno 10X Zoom Edition in China. The standard Reno display is 6.4 inch while the aspect ratio is 19.5:9 powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. The RAM of the phone goes up to 8GB. The inbuilt storage capacity of the phone is 256GB. The phone is equipped with dual cameras with 48MP + 5MP at the back and 16MP at front.

The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom’s camera supports the 10x hybrid zoom and it has a bit bigger 6.65-inch display. It is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor and equipped with 8GB of RAM. The battery of the phone is 4,065 mAh with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
