The online cab services management has asked the government of Sindh to allow them to resume their operations as the COVID-19 associated lockdown has been relaxed.
As per a letter that was written to the CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, the management of the online cab services gave an assurance that the drivers of the online taxi services will stick to the safety protocols. They will be wearing face masks and gloves and will also use sanitizers.
The letter indicated that only one person will be given permission to travel in a taxi at one time. It further added that a maximum of two people will be adjusted in emergency situations.
It also mentioned that the car will be disinfected after each and every ride.
The management further said that owing to the lockdown, the drivers and the other employees of the online taxi service were facing tough times.
Amid lockdown, the taxi services in the province of Sindh were suspended and they had not been operating since the last week of March. Public transportation has also been suspended.
