One of New Zealand shooting victims’ body reached Karachi, handed over to family

The dead body of one of the Pakistani victims who embraced martyrdom in the terrorist attack on the mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand reached Karachi on Monday and was handed over to the family members.

As per the details, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to New Zealand has handed the dead body of Areeb over to the international airline. The details further said that the plane of the international airline landed at the Jinnah International Airport Karachi at 10:30 am.

The funeral prayer of Areeb will be offered at Sangam Ground Dastagir No 9 area in Karachi at 3:00pm. After the funeral prayer, he would be buried at the Sakhi Sarwar Graveyard in Karachi.

The victim, Ahmed Areeb had recently moved to Christchurch in New Zealand and working as a charted accountant. As per the information, he was the only son of his parents.

Muhammad Muzffar Khan, one of Areeb’s uncles described him as deeply religious, praying five times a day.

A terrorist attack by an Australian national in Christchurch, New Zealand killed as many as 50 Muslims when he opened fire on the people who were gathered in the mosque to offer Friday prayer.
