The Senior Vice-chairman Mir Shams Shahwani from (APOTOA) All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association asked the Sindh Government to resolve the issues of the oil transportation sector in the next 72-hours or else the association will park all its oil tankers outside Bilawal house till the lockdown ends.
The chairman while talking to the media said that in case of any mishap the PPP Government will be responsible. He fears that the current situation of the country may lead to fuel crises as the Sindh government has rejected all directives of the federal government.
The chairman complains that the tanker drivers are facing difficulties in finding quality food on highways as there is a closure of shops and hotels. Even the tyre puncture shops are closed which is causing difficulty for the oil tanker transporters.
In such a crucial time, besides ensuring a friendly environment the Sindh government is creating problems for the owners of the oil tankers.
Mir Shahwani requested Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, President Arif Alvi, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, and Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed to find a solution to this problem as quickly as possible. If there would be a smooth transportation system only then the construction industries will be able to continue working and also it would help the farmer to continue cropping.
