OGRA has forwarded a summary to the federal government for suggesting the modification in prices of the petroleum products, as per the reports of local media.
OGRA suggested for reducing the prices of petrol up 6 paisas and 66 paisas in the kerosene oil. The authority has recommended surging the prices of high-speed diesel up to Rs.2.47 and Rs.1.10 in light diesel.
Previously in December last year, the federal government had surged the petrol prices by up to Rs.2.61 per litre for the month of January 2020, as per a notification issued by the Finance Ministry.
As per a notification, the price of petrol has been surged by Rs.2.61 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been surged by Rs.2.25.
Likewise, the price of light diesel has been reduced by Rs.2.08 and that of kerosene by Rs.3.10 per litre.
Previously, the oil and gas regulatory authority (OGRA) has suggested Rs.2.61 per litre increase in the petrol price from the 1st of January 2020.
The OGRA had suggested increasing Rs.2.25 per litre on the high-speed diesel, while Rs.3.10 on kerosene oil.
The petroleum prices set for this month are the prices for petrol are Rs.116.60, the kerosene oil price is Rs.99.45, the price for diesel is Rs.127.26 and that of light diesel oil is Rs.84.51.
