Nursing Schools Now Transformed into Colleges
Nurses to get degrees instead of diplomas as the status of nursing schools is now changed to nursing colleges.

In Pakistan, all of the previously known nursing schools are now transformed into colleges. The nurses would now receive degrees rather than diplomas.
The announcement was made by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid. She further added:
The nurses will now have the option to pursue masters and Ph.D. programmes,
It is also informed that the capacity of students is increased from 1,600 to 2,350 with two midwifery schools being upgraded to college status.
Punjab Health Minister further market that the government had recruited 500 nurses and aims to increase the monthly stipend from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 31,000.
