NTS and other testing services are the centers of loot and plunder, says IT committee.
NTS (The National Testing Service) and the other testing services that take written tests for the enrolment in different government departments are dubbed as the hubs of loot and plunder by the sub-committee of the Senate Standing Committee on IT.
The committee met the convenor Kalsoom Parveen, she said that these services take heavy fees from the candidates. Most of the candidates belong to poor families they get themselves enrolled for getting admission to different government departments. And many times the deserving ones don’t even qualify. After failing these candidates appear again and again in the exams having this hope of clearing the exam this time. Basically, these testing services take huge amount of fees and exploit the candidates as much as possible.
The chairperson further extended her point of view by saying that there is no transparency in these test services like NTS and its high time now, the federal government should take this matter seriously and shut them down once and for all.
In the end, the committee advised for the establishment of a comprehensive mechanism for the enrolments in different provincial and federal government departments along with the involvement of the related ministries belonging to the provincial and federal levels.
