Previously we heard YouTube and others creating ways for content creators to make money. Today we heard the same about Pinterest. The platform is now offering tools to allow content creators to earn money by promoting items.
Pinterest is following the traditional way of affiliate marketing where content creators would promote items to get a commission on sales.
The company is also adding a product tagging feature to its Idea Pins to drive sales. The company is also adding a feature “paid partnerships” to support sponsorships.
Content creators can now browse through “Product Pins” and integrate them into their “Idea Pins”, to sell the pinned items.
Moreover, content creators could also add their own affiliate links to these tags to make more.
This new feature is limited to the US, UK, Canada, some 16 other countries.
