On Tuesday the Sindh Governor Imran Ismail announced that there would be no load-shedding during the summers this year.
He paid a visit to the Port Qasim Electric Power Company where he got a comprehensive briefing regarding the power plant.
While speaking on the occasion, the Sindh governor said that China and Qatar have jointly made investments costing US Dollar 3 billion in the project, which now comprises up for 13 per cent of the overall power needs of the company.
He also said that there are many investment opportunities in Pakistan, referring to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is the backbone of the national economy.
Imran Ismail the governor of Sindh said that any nation is welcome to make the investments under the project and further added that the country has got the potential of producing more electricity than it requires. He also said that there would not be any load-shedding during the summers this year.
