On Thursday, the government announced that there would be no load shedding during the Eid Holidays across Pakistan.
From the 4th of June that is Tuesday, the country is to observe Eid-ul-Fitr holidays as announced by the government.
Pakistan Electric Power Company—PEPCO has issued an SOP—standard operating procedure for the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of all the power distributing firms—DISCOs for providing uninterrupted electricity to the people during Eid-ul-Fitr.
The CEOs were asked via a letter to abide with issued SOPs which includes uninterrupted power supply during Eid Holidays.
The control room that has already been established at the DISCOs Headquarters for the holy month of Ramazan, would operate to provide the continuous power supply to the public. The contact number of the control room should also be published in the print as well as social media for the information of the public, as per the issued SOPs.
In the defined SOPs it is also mentioned that the emergency teams along with their complete T&P, transformers, necessary materials, automobiles, etc should remain active and available in every sub-division.
They were further told to respond promptly to the registered complaints.
