“No compromise on Human Rights violations,” UN High Commissioner on Kashmir situation

Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Right expressed the concern over the human rights violations in the Indian-held mountainous valley, Jammu and Kashmir.

While talking to the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Michelle said, “There can be no compromise on the human rights violations.”

In her statement, the UN High Commissioner clearly demanded the rehabilitation of the human rights in the Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and asked the Indian authorities to immediately lift the curfew across the valley.

Foreign Minister Qureshi thanked Michelle for raising strong voice against the India barbarism in the occupied valley as well as demanding the lifting of the curfew, lockdown, and communication blackout at the 42nd session of the UN Human Rights Council.

“Your stance on Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir will give encouragement and hope to the millions of people in the occupied valley who are subjected to the Indian oppression,” the minister said.
