Zulfiqar Bukhari-the Special Assistant to the PM on Overseas Pakistani has given clarification on Thursday that the decision of the United Arab Emirates to suspend the work visas issuance to Pakistanis is not true. He also said that there was no ban on the export of Pakistan’s workforce.
As per the shared details, Bukhari has said that in contrast to the media reports, the Minister for Human Resources and Emiratisation of UAE-Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli had mentioned that there is no ban on the export of the Pakistani workforce.
Moreover, the UAE was giving preference to the workers who were registered on the Virtual Labour Market Database and had been terminated owing to the economic dip created by the corona epidemic.
The tweet has come days after there had been reports that the UAE had halted the visa issuing to the citizens of a dozen nations, which includes Pakistan.
It has been confirmed by the Foreign Office last week, adding that the decision of the United Arab Emirates was believed to be linked to the second wave of coronavirus.
