Nintendo To Launch Super Switch Console With 4K Support This Year

Nintendo Super Switch

Nintendo officially announced the latest financial report yesterday, which shows that as of December 31, 2020, Switch has sold 79.87 million units worldwide, and a total of 532.34 million games have been sold in 2020.

Although the Switch is selling hot globally, it still cannot change the very low-end hardware performance of its configuration. Therefore, many consumers are very concerned about the information about the new Switch and expect Nintendo to bring a more powerful game console.

Some investors asked about the development of the new Switch at the Nintendo earnings conference. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said that the company does not plan to launch new products in the near future.

It is worth noting that Shuntaro Furukawa said last year that Nintendo has no plans to release new models in 2020, but now this statement has changed to “no new phones will be released in the near future“, which may mean a new generation of Switch game consoles. It is expected to be officially unveiled later this year.

As previously reported by WccfTech, Nintendo’s new generation of game consoles will be named “Super Switch”, and the machine will have an all-round upgrade in hardware configuration.

It is reported that Nintendo Super Switch has little overall changes in appearance design and game mode, but its body will be equipped with a 1080P OLED/mini LED display, which can be said to be a subversive upgrade compared to the previous generation.

In addition, in terms of performance, Super Switch will also bring more powerful performance, the processor is upgraded to Tegra X1+/Xavier, equipped with 64GB storage space, and will also use similar “Deep Learning Super Sampling” (DLSS) technology to bring users 4K quality output under the Dock.
