New Symptoms Emerge of the Novel Coronavirus

Chinese experts have warned about the newly discovered symptoms of COVID-19. It includes diarrhea, loss of appetite and nausea.

204 infected cases have been tested in three hospitals. The results have been published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

As per the experts, 48.5% of the cases suffer from digestive system problems and respiratory problems.

In the cases of just diarrhea, there are no traces of high fever or coughing observed.

In cases that have digestive system problems, the total process from the first symptom to being hospitalized is 1.5 days longer in comparison to cases with no digestive system problems.

Also, the study revealed that the cases with just respiratory problems recover faster than those with both.

Last December, the novel coronavirus COVID-19 emerged in Wuhan, China. From there onwards it has spread to at least 163 countries and territories. The outbreak has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).

According to data compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University, there are 246,000 confirmed cases around the globe with the death toll rising to 10,000. Over 86,000 patients have recovered.

Even though, there are rising number of cases, most of those infected just suffer from mild symptoms and then recover.
