The government is mulling to uplift the facilities and performance of all three government hospitals in Rawalpindi including District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), Benazir Bhutto Hospital and Holy Family Hospital. In order to achieve this new Mobile App has been developed to monitor the performance and facilities at all three hospitals in Rawalpindi.
The officials and superintendents of the management team belonging to Rawalpindi District Health Authority (DHA) are directed by the district administration to pay surprise visits to all three hospitals in Rawalpindi and send forward the healthcare system report to the district management using the new mobile app.
The new mobile application will accommodate the officials and superintendents to improve the quality of service and create a balance in the healthcare system in all three hospitals, sources said.
According to the officials, using the technology they would be able to monitor all necessary things including medicines, equipment in order to improve the performance of the hospital, the shortage of medicines can be intimated timely using the mobile app, similarly, other improvements could also be done with this app.
The DHA has also directed hospitals that are running Dengue control or HIV programs to improve their performance. Moreover, the District Health Authority (DHA) also demanded the report based on complaints received via a toll-free number (0800-99000) of healthcare centers. The healthcare authority also focused on ensuring all basic healthcare needs at the hospitals and uninterrupted power and water supply to them.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also started a campaign paying surprise visits to various district hospitals in Punjab. He visited some hospitals in Punjab including Sargodha and Khushab and directed the district administration to improve the healthcare systems in the hospitals.
