A year back, the Federal Government of Pakistan made the decision of constructing model schools in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) agencies with the hope of making the education quality better for the youth and for increasing the overall literacy rate in the area.

In this plan, a minimum of seven schools where the students would be groomed both physically and mentally were planned for assisting them in improving their education.

The model school is spread across twenty canals and is targeted at providing students with unique learning experiences. The school has got spacious gardens that indicates that physical fitness would a major part of the curriculum besides education. A fully operational basketball court could also be seen within the school premises.

The main aim of the provincial government and Army is to increase the literacy rate in the area which would help in getting long-lasting peace in FATA.

The officials in the area are also acting against the unlawful appointments of teachers in the various tribal area schools. Appointments on merit provide good results as sincere and well-deserving teachers are appointed.
