On Thursday, A 32-bed new ICU (Intensive Care Unit) has been inaugurated for COVID-19 patients at Nishtar hospital in Multan. The unit has been set up within five weeks of record time.
The new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was inaugurated by Dr. Iftikhar Hussain Nishtar Medical College Principal, Vice-Chancellor Dr.Ahmed Ijaz Masood and a few other people.
The ICU has been named after Hussain Dawar. His group provided financial assistance of Rs12 million for the establishment of this Intensive Care Unit. As far as the technical assistance is concerned, the SPO (Strengthening Participatory Organization) helped a lot in the making of this critical care war for the coronavirus patients.
As soon as this deadly virus eradicates from the country, this ward will be used as a Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
For the inauguration of this ward, a small ceremony was held at the Nishtar Hospital. Also, the participants paid a tribute to the late Vice-chancellor Dr. Mustafa Kamal Pasha for all his services, mainly against COVID-19.
On the other hand, Raja Basharat Law Minister gave a hint of opening all the restaurants after Eid-ul-Azha.
