Netflix Puts a Bunch of Documentaries on YouTube for Free

Netflix has made a selection of documentary features and series free on YouTube.

 “For many years, Netflix has allowed teachers to screen documentaries in their classrooms. However, this isn’t possible with schools closed. So at their request, we have made a selection of our documentary features and series available on the Netflix US YouTube channel. ”

Presently it is just available in English. Each title has educational resources available. It can be used by both students and teachers.

Netflix will also be including Q&As with a few creators behind these projects to further enhance learning.

Netflix hopes that this in a small manner will help teachers around the world.

Subtitles in over a dozen languages will be available later in this week. However it is important that parents and teachers check the ratings of these documentaries to make the rights choices for the students and children.

The list includes many of the Netflix’s nature documentaries that includes the critically acclaimed Our Planet and Babies. As of now 10 documentaries are available for free.

Other documentaries include 13th, Abstract, Babies, Chasing Coral, Explained, Knock Down the House, Our Planet, Period. End of a Sentence, The White Helmets, and Zion.
