As part of the greater objective of creating effective dairy value chain, Nestle Pakistan has partnered with Telenor Microfinance bank in order to facilitate its dairy farmers by lending money through the digital micro-finance system.
Nestle Pakistan in this regards becomes the first FMCG to start this digital micro-financing initiative; Telenor will distribute loans to dairy farmers digitally under this program.
The micro-finance bank has built a strong data driven digital system in deciding the loan limits and near instant loans. The loans will be distributed directly to the farmers via mobile banking platform and EasyPaisa mobile wallets.
Telenor Bank has already disbursed Rs7.5 million digitally to dairy farmers working for Nestle Pakistan. This initiative has made it possible for local farmers to get access to affordable finance which is not easier through main stream banking channels. The program not only supports Nestle and Telenor business but also it provides financial stability to farmers for future growth.
