NEPRA increases the price of electricity by Rs2.37 per unit

The per-unit price of electricity has officially been increased by Rs2.37 by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).

As per the details, the authorities took this decision under the pretext of the fuel adjustment.

It is pertinent to mention here that due to the increased price, the power consumers would now have to bear an additional load of 33 billion rupees.

Earlier on September 27, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) had increased the price of the per-unit electricity by 0.52 rupees.

The previous increment of the power unit by the authorities was also made with regard to a fuel adjustment.

It is pertinent to mention here that NEPRA had also revised the per-unit price of the power on September 4 with an increase of 1.78 rupees.
