NDMA Gives Flood Warning in Various Parts of Country

The National Disaster Management Authority—NDMA has given flood warning in various parts of the country after the new spell of heavy rainfall, as per the reports of local media on Sunday.

The authority has given flood warning in many parts of the nation other than activating the related institutions for finalizing the effective steps for annulling damages and life loss.

The spokesperson has made the announcement the weather advisory, forecasting heavy rainfalls in the upper areas of Jhelum, Ravi and Chenab rivers which could cause a mid-level flood.

The related departments are entirely ready for countering the flood-like situation, as per the spokesperson asking them to keep the tourists aware of the recent weather situation.

Previously on Saturday, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority—PDMA had given out the flood alerts across the rivers in the province.

As per the details, floods are feared in the rivers Ravi, Chenab, Beas, Sutlej and Jhelum within the span of the next 72 hours.

The authority has also given the directions to the concerned departments to be ready and on standby.
