Earlier today, the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) carried out an important meeting today in order to discuss all the safety and precautionary measures before Muharram to avoid the spread of the virus.
Asad Umar Federal Minister for Planning and Development lead the meeting held in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the Muharram processions and safety measures so that the public’s health and safety can be ensured.
The briefing of the meeting was done after the discussion of an extended plan of action which helped in finalizing the guidelines to be followed in the month of Muharram.
The planning and development minister asked the concerned authorities to implement proper SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) so that the virus doesn’t spread and if anyone would violate the SOPs then he/she will be charged with a fine.
The chairman of the National Command and Control Center also ordered to ensure spot testing through the mobile testing camp of all those visitors going to the northern areas.
Other provinces were also part of the meeting through a video link.
There is a massive decline noticed in the COVID-19 cases in Pakistan and the government has ended lockdown and lifted up all restrictions.
