A leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and provincial minister for Housing Mian Mehmood Ur Rasheed said on Monday that as many as 6,000 housing units would be constructed in Punjab in the first phase of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme.
During the media talk in Lahore, the minister said that 6,000 houses would be constructed in Renala Khurd the area of Okara, Chishtian, and Lodhran in the first phase of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme launched by the government of PTI.
He further said that the houses of three-marla on the ground floor would cost Rs1.75 million and the house that would be constructed on the first floor would Rs1.6 million. Whereas the housing unit of five-marla at the ground floor would cost Rs2.3 million and the houses on the first floor would cost Rs2.1 million.
According to the statement, the houses would be allotted through the balloting process to the successful applicants and possession of the houses would be handed over to the successful applicants within one and half year.
The minister of PTI-led government said that our government would fulfill all the commitments made with the people of Pakistan as per the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. The initiative of the construction of inexpensive houses in three major cities of Punjab is one of the steps towards fulfilling the PTI government’s commitments.
According to the details, 20,000 housing units would be constructed in Sialkot, Layyah, Chiniot, and Faisalabad in the second phase of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.
