According to the reports of the local media, Naya Pakistan housing scheme has received about 5lac applications.
The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister Imran Khan for providing affordable living to the less-privileged class of the society.
There is a shortage of around 1,000,000 houses in our country, which is witnessing an excessive increase on a year-on-year basis, as per the official sources.
The current government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf under the leadership of PM Khan is bent on providing housing access to the general people.

The officials are confident about this housing scheme by the government. They are definite about the timely completion of this scheme and they also have confidence that this scheme would ensure the provision of basic civic facilities to the general public.
On the other hand, the Sindh government has announced public holiday on the 4th of April that is Thursday on account of the 40th death anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who was the founder of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and was also an amazing leader that Pakistan lost too soon.
A notification was also released in this matter for announcing the holiday.
The notification read that all the local councils and the corporate councils that are under the rule of the government of Sindh and also the autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies and the offices to remain off on the 4th of April.
