Usman Dar—the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs said that the National Youth Empowerment Card would soon be launched for giving economic empowerment and social uplift to the marginal segments of the society, especially to the disabled and rural youth.
He informed that the government has began its work on the new policy for empowering youth by taking creative measures.
He also said while conversing with the state-owned news agency that with the assistance of all the provinces under the youth development programme, maximum youth would be getting the benefits from the initiatives of the government.
The special assistant to the Prime Minister said that other than the provision of health, job facilities and education to the youth of the country, the government was also working for their utmost participation in the policy-making to make the country more developed and prosperous.
He mentioned that the government was putting in efforts to protect the future of the skilled and talented youth under the PM’s Youth Development Programme throughout the nation.
On the 26th of January the Punjab IT Board and the Ministry of Youth Affairs collaborated to launch a 3-month free e-rozgar training programme for the youth, which is aimed at providing vocational training to the people who have no jobs and making them capable enough so that they may earn tehri own livelihood.
The requirements for getting admission is that the applicant should have a valid CNIC should be jobless and the age should be between 16 to 35.
