Earlier today, news came out that the national cricket team has tested negative for the novel coronavirus before traveling to New Zealand for their scheduled matches.
On Saturday, the coronavirus tests for the 55-member contingent, 35 players, and 20 officials, involved were conducted at a local hotel in Lahore.
The Pakistani cricket team will leave for Lincoln on November 23rd where they will spend the obligatory 14-day quarantine period.
For the first 3 days, players will remain isolated completely. The members will be divided into different groups of fifteen for the rest of the quarantine period. They won’t be allowed to interact with individuals of other groups.
The men’s team will play 3 T20Is and 2 Tests whereas the Shaheens will play 5 T20s and 2 four-day matches.
According to the details, Babar Azam will lead the men’s team in T20Is and Tests. The vice-captain in Tests will be Mohammad Rizwan, while Shadab will be the vice-captain. Rohail Nazir will lead the Shaheens while his deputy will be Haider Ali.
