From today, NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) offices all over Sindh are going to follow a new timing schedule in the middle of the coronavirus lockdown.
A notification was issued on Sunday, according to which the headquarters of NADRA and the regional head offices in Sindh will continue to open from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Fridays, the offices will shut down at 1:00 pm.
All NADRA centers and its mega centers will work in two-shift for the seven days of the week. The first shift will work from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and the second shift will perform their duties from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The executive and district centers of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will open from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The notification clearly asked all the visitors to follow all precautionary measures including wearing masks and maintaining social distance while visiting the office.
All the employees working at NADRA offices were also urged to wear hand gloves and face masks during work hours. Also, they are asked to disinfect biometric machines after taking fingerprints of an applicant.
The expiry date of the NIC cards has been extended from September 2019 to 30th June 2020 said the Director-General of NADRA. He also said that all those people who are looking forward to renewing their NIC cards should use the online services of NADRA in order to avoid crowds at the offices.
