According to the sources, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is mulling to launch streamlined mobile registration services using Nadra Mobile cars at the doorsteps of the public.
Supreme Court of Pakistan and Election Commission has directed the organization to bring in the speedy process to register people (especially women) who live remotely and do not have immediate access to regional Nadra offices. People living in backward and remote areas of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Kasur, Narowal, and Shiekhupura.
Nadra Chairman Usman Yousaf Mobeen, Nadra Director general Punjab, Syed Saqlain Abbas Bukhari and Nadra regional office Lahore has initiated “Nadra Mobile Registration Car” for up to 3 months.
The inauguration was held by Federal Interior Minister at the regional head office Nadra, Johar Town, Lahore. In order to bridge the gap between male and female voters, besides Nadra centers and Nadra Mobile Registration vans, the Mobile Registration Car Project is launched; the objective of the project is to register as many people as possible to the National database that are unable to reach the regional offices and are left out from the national database.
The Nadra mobile cars would reach the places where Nadra mobile vans cannot reach and process applications of men and women with minimum documents required for the registration. This project will speed up Nadra registration process and it will assist the election commission of Pakistan, all men and women have right to vote which should be given proper attention as per EC Pakistan, they should take their part in the country’s development in one way or another.
